american psycho

Viral videos are always fun. Here's one to promote this weekend's "Carrie" release where a girl in a coffee shop makes a bunch of crap move and freaks out everyone in the store. It's funny because people who go to coffee shops are obnoxious usually and it's fun when bad things happen to them. Except if someone pulled this crap in my Starbucks when I'm there. Joey needs his big boy coffee to make the grumpies go away.

Do people watch horror movies on New Year's Eve? I mean I guess some people have to right? You get all your friends together and talk about how lame Dick Clark is and then you watch some god awful horror movie you all make fun of. You think you're so cool don't you! I ask because After Dark's "Ritual" has just been slapped with a December 31st release date on VOD and I'm wondering if anyone will watch the film, which follows a former couple as they try to escape a satanic cult. How do you hate Dick Clark? He's a god damn American treasure. And he's dead. You're a real sicko jag off you know that?

Much like "Breaking Bad" and anything Joss Whedon has created for TV I refuse to watch "Dr. Who" because I find it annoying how much people talk about it. But I'm sure all the boys and girls are going to go ape doodie over the fact that the show's star, or former star I guess, Matt Smith will be playing the role of Patrick Bateman in the upcoming "American Psycho" musical that's coming to London this December. No word on if or when the show will find its way to the US but you have to figure it will and you have to figure it will be better. Because America is awesome and drinking tea is stupid.

Just because you can shoot a movie on your iPhone doesn't mean you should. Just like because you can travel to Barcelona doesn't mean you should either. But here's the trailer for "Hooked Up", the first horror film shot entirely on the iPhone. It's about two guys who head to Barcelona looking to find fun and some easy ladies but find themselves trapped in a house with all kinds of bad mojo going on. It looks like it was shot on an iPhone and I will not be able to get the image of 300 pricks standing around an Apple store not buying anything when I watch it.

How the hell can there be a trailer for a movie that doesn't come out for 5 months?! Someone needs to explain this to me. But here's the first trailer for "Men In Black 3" which doesn't come out till May 25th. I assume the DVD will be released sometime in April though so look for that.

So there's an "American psycho" remake coming obviously and today we've got some exciting news on who might be taking the lead role of Patrick Bateman. Or really I should say who novelist Bret Easton Ellis is demanding take the role or he isn't going to sign off on the film. Who does he want? Scott Disick or Miles Fisher of course. For those of you keeping track at home that's the guy who's married to one of the Kardashian's or the guy who played Tom Cruise in "Superhero Movie". It's so hard to choose, maybe both of them can split the movie.

If there's one thing the world needs more of it's vampire/comedy/horror/romance/revenge flicks. Oh and there's also some signs that lead me to believe that "Bloodsucka Jones" might be a soft core porn. But other than that the trailer looks awesome. Or maybe I should say because of that the trailer looks awesome. I don't know. I'm not god!

I don't even know what to say about this. Here's a bunch of stills and a trailer for the new zombie flick fresh out of Taiwan called "Zombie 108". Alright I'll be honest it doesn't look that crazy or anything, standard run of the mill end of the world zombie take over movie, but I'm really tired and I really have no idea what to say. I'm a giant let down I know.

As Andy Williams once sang, "It's the most wonderful time of the year"! Sure, he was talking about a different holiday, but I think you'll all agree with me that the statement is just as fitting for Halloween! It's a time to get spooky, a time to get scary. A time to transform yourself into a wholly different character that resembles nothing of your true self and be somebody else for a night!

And who doesn't love that?

Do you need some more Patrick Batman in your life? Well then, you're in luck. It appears that "American Psycho" is becoming a musical. Let's hope there's ample time for Bateman's snappy impression of "Huey Lewis and the News".

There's more teen oriented horror coming to The CW, this time in a new show entitled Betwixt. They've done monster hunters and other various supernatural things, this time we're facing changeling's charged with saving humanity! I feel safer already.

On February 16th, you'll be able to take your horror with you on the crapper. South Peak games will be releasing "Dementium II", a survival horror FPS for the Nintendo DS. At least in this format when it scares the shit out of you, you'll already be in position.

Vampires are the hot commodity right now and as such, we may soon be seeing the return of Dracula himself. Producers are readying "The Last Voyage of the Demeter", a prequel story centered on the count and his voyage over seas to England.

The family of the late Dan O'Bannon has launched a new website to celebrate his career. For fans, there is no better place to celebrate O'Bannon's genre legacy, including info on his final script as well as future zombie project he had intended to direct.

Did you get a shiny new Blu-ray player for Christmas? What better way to break it in than with a copy of "Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead" in HD!. The disc arrives on February 23rd.

To help soothe your post holiday blues, new stills have surfaced from the upcoming Nicholas Cage feature, "Season of the Witch". His hair alone is bound to give you a few laughs.

Sure, "American Psycho" is 10 years old now and a new TV airing of the film isn't exactly news worthy. However, this New Zealand billboard promoting the airing on TV2 is pretty amazing!

In the wake of Brittany Murphy's death, DVD rental source Redbox scrambled to pull the cover art from Murphy's last film, "Deadline" across the country. The images of the actress lying dead in a bathtub felt a little too close to home for Redbox... they're probably right.

Miles Fisher, an actor who has appeared in television shows such as MadMen and Gossip Girl is now venturing into music with his take on The Talking Heads most romantic song, "This Must Be the Place." A song that would not seem to suit "American Psycho" so well. But that assumption would be wrong, because Fisher nails so many of "American Psycho's" best scenes to this tune that I now won't be able to think of anything remotely romantic while listening to it... now it's more like the thought of driving an axe into someone's skull. Let's just say, it definitely adds depth. har har.
