Nicholas Cage in 3D?! You don't need to tell me anything else, I'm already sold. But for those of you who may need a little bit more persuading, here is the plot description from the DRIVE ANGRY 3D Official Site: In the high-octane, 3D action-adventure "Drive Angry 3D", Nicolas Cage stars as Milton, a hardened felon who has broken out of hell intent on finding the vicious cult who brutally murdered his daughter and kidnapped her baby.

Bruce Campbell sat and dished a bit on "Bruce Vs. Frankenstein" in a recent interview. The planned sequel to "My Name is Bruce", the actor plans on filming during his next "Burn Notice" break and hopes to pack as many horror icons into the film as he can.

According to screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, the highly anticipated vampire birth in the upcoming "Twilight: Breaking Dawn" won't be very graphic, because she's written it to happen off screen. Should we start preparing for the oncoming tween and soccer mom riots?

In case you were worried for some odd reason, the duo behind the "Crank" films, Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, are attempting to tackle the early negotiations for "Ghostrider: Spirit of Vengeance". Now, I know what you're truly worried about in this unwanted sequel, but fear not! Sources say Nic Cage is also in negotiations to return as Johnny Blaze!

Paramount has hired new comers Mark and Brian Gunn to pen their upcoming "Monster Squad" remake. The article also drops a hint that the studio is looking at the project as a potential franchise as well.

Though I've never heard of them myself, toy maker Mattel went and made a series of monster toys infused with those oh so trashy Bratz dolls called "Monster High". Even worse? Universal has already snatched up the title for a feature film.

Horror Headlines: Monday February 15th, 2010

With AMC's upcoming "The Walking Dead" series starting to gel, it's only natural that casting rumors would start flying, including rumors about the casting for the integral role of Rick Grimes. As with all rumors, they have to be taken with a grain of salt, but the three names supposedly in the running include Jamie Bamber from "Battlestar Galactica", Mark Pelligrino from "Dexter" and "Lost" and "Stewart Townsend". Of course this begs the question; who would be your choice to play Rick Grimes?

The vampire trend of the last few years is ready to die down as wolves step up to take their place. In keeping with the trend, Bradley Cooper will be re-teaming with Joe Carnahan in "The Grey" which pits the survivors of a plane crash against a pack of hungry wolves.

Word is circulating that Dark Castle Entertainment is on the verge of distributing Vincenzo Natali's "Splice". From what we've seen of early screen shots, this is exciting news.

"Season of the Witch" Trailer Lands

Alright Hollywood big wigs let's come to an agreement here. If you're going to call your movie "Season of the Witch" there should be nothing but creepy Halloween masks and a theme song that will drill inside people's brains. If you want to put Nicholas Cage in there for good measure that's up to you, but make it a movie about an actual witch that takes place in the olden times.

Werner Herzog's "Bad Lieutenant" Trailer

The news that Werner Herzog was going to reboot "Bad Lieutenant" with Nic Cage in the title role was greeted by a massive "WTF?" from cinemaphiles. Then, we were treated to an escalating feud between Herzog and original "Bad Lietenant" director Abel Ferrara in which Herzog claimed to have never seen the movie he was remaking and to have never heard of Ferrara, which prompted Ferrara to invite Herzog to "die in hell" and said that the producer of the film "sucks cock in hell". Whew.

Horror Headlines: Tuesday March 10th, 2009

Mila Jovovich to star in "Year Zero", which is about a "a young woman attempting to clear her father's name in a string of gruesome murders at an Alaskan oil refinery.

The "My Bloody Valentine 3D" DVD will come in both 2D and 3D versions. The 3D version will also contain 4 pairs of "red/blue" 3D glasses, since "RealD" is not a medium available for home theaters yet. How will the red/blue results translate to DVD? You'll find out May 19th when this disc lands.

Rebecca Romijn (formerly Romijn-Stamos) has been tapped as the third lead in ABC's "Eastwick", their television adaptation of "The Witches of Eastwick". She'll play "Roxie", a "bohemian and sharp-tongued single mother. Sounds sassy!

Nicholas Cage isn't ready to sign on to "Ghost Rider 2" yet because as he puts it, the script needs "some tweaking". No word on if his input is what made the last film so "awesome", so I really have no idea how to interpret this.

Full Moon president Charles Band wants to remake his "classic" film "Puppetmaster", and do it in 3D. I really have no words for this story.

Of course Lesbian vampires have super long tongues. Kind of makes sense, no?

Based on the picture at the link, I would have guessed "character from the board game Guess Who", but that's just me (go ahead and click it, you know you can't resist)

Apparently a pair of parents in Chicago named their child Marijuana Pepsi Jackson in 1973. These days she goes by "Marijuana Sawyer", since clearly "Pepsi" was the most eye-opening part of that name.

1974: Second Lt. Hiroo Onoda of the Imperial Japanese Army surrenders to Philippine authorities. He believed World War II was still underway and continued a 30 year guerrilla battle with other islanders. His final capitulation came when his senior officer, Maj. Taniguchi, ordered his surrender. Upon return to the Japanese homeland, Onoda was treated as a hero, but had difficulty coping with his "postwar" life.
