Katharine Isabelle

Horror Headlines: Tuesday September 17th, 2013

In case you're wondering wedding specials are where I draw the line of which Real Housewives shows I will watch. Just to put all the rumors to rest.

Remember when I told you that Jen and Sylvia Soska would be directing "See No Evil 2", the sequel to the 2006 direct to video flick starring the WWE's Kane? No I didn't think you would but I felt like i should ask anyway. Well they are, and now it looks like the first two ladies to be cast in the project are none other than Danielle Harris and Katharine Isabelle. I have no idea what the first one was about but this one apparently follows the same killer from the first as he stalks a group of medical students. Or something. Who cares really. Maybe the two of them will kiss or something.

Christian Serratos, who you probably remember from "Twilight", is the latest name to be added to the upcoming fourth season of "The Walking Dead". She'll play Rosita Espinosa (Muy caliente!) a survivor who runs into our merry gang of zombie killers. Just kidding, if you remember her from "Twilight" then you're a loser and you like loser things! Just kidding again, team Jacob 4 life.

The "Terminator" reboot will be released into theaters on Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Because weekends are for pricks.

"Insidious 3" has been confirmed to be happening now that "Insidious: Chapter 2" pulled in $41 million this past weekend. Leigh Whannell will once again pen the script but no word on if James Wan will once again return to direct. One thing is for sure though, I will most likely come up with a half assed excuse as to why I can't see it for the podcast. No, but seriously, I had a lot crap going on this weekend. You don't know me!

In Real People News:

Apparently now it's illegal to bring a ferret into restaurants in Arizona. Let me be clear, a few days ago this was not illegal but now, now it is illegal to bring a ferret into restaurants in Arizona. Just so we're all on the same page here.

A lot of people having the ungodly feeling that made they've made a giant mistake after they get married. This woman in Montana had that feeling. Of course most people get over that feeling. She went another direction and pushed her husband off a cliff. I guess we all cope in our own ways though.

Horror Headlines: Monday October 10th, 2011

Nic Kelman has been tapped by the fine people at Mandalay Pictures to take over the script writing for the big screen adaptation of the graphic novel "Ramayan 3392 A.D.". The writing process had begun way back in 2008 with John Collee, of John Collee and the Beaver Brown Band fame (google it, it's hilarious) originally being chosen for the writing job. Must not be "Eddie and the Cruisers" fans.

Did you see "Ginger Snaps" and immediately get a crush on Katharine Isabelle? Then you're a sicko and you belong in jail! Anyway she's in a new film called "13 Eerie" and now that she's at a more respectable age you can go ahead and get all fluttery over her. The film is a trapped on and island zombie romp and stars a bunch of other people but you don't care about... sicko.

Lara Flynn Boyle will play a teen eating witch in a new horror/comedy titled "Black Forest: Hansel and Gretel & The 420 Witch". If you couldn't have guessed already the film tells the story of a witch who lures kids to her California home with a special blend of pot and then cooks them for dinner. I don't know why it's taken so long for Hollywood to combine the whimsical charm of children stories with the joy of pot smoking.

And lastly it's my sad duty to report that David Hess, star of films like "Last house on the Left" and "Smash Cut" passed away yesterday at the age of 69.

In Real People News:

Here's a fun story about two women who were tossed out of a Baltimore area Walmart after they got into a
bleach fight. It's like some sort of white trash sequel to "Zoolander".

And because it makes me happy to make you uncomfortable here's a story about a guy who was arrested for possession of drugs when the police noticed a string hanging out of his anus that was tied to the bag of pot and cocaine he had shoved up his ass. Happy Columbus Day!

Retro Trailer: "Ginger Snaps" (2000)

"Ginger Snaps" is a quirky, fun werewolf movie. It's certainly no "Twilight", but unfortunately, not every movie can be a masterpiece. All sarcasm aside, the 2000 Canadian film directed by John Fawcett, offers a different take on the whole werewolf flick, as the film uses lycanthropy as a metaphor for puberty. Teen sisters Brigitte and Ginger (Emily Perkins and Katharine Isabelle) are awkward high school outcasts who are obsessed with death.
