New "Jennifer's Body" Clip

To me “Jennifer’s Body” pretty much has one thing going for it, it’s got Megan Fox running around in skimpy outfits. Alright two, that Amanda Seyfried isn’t too shabby either. Perhaps I’m being a little bit of what the ladies would call a “pig” but after watching a clip from the film that was recently released I don’t think I’m too far off.

What you get is pretty much what you’d expect. Megan Fox prancing around and some little Green Day look alike getting all flustered. No blood, no gore and no fun. My expectations for the rest of the film aren’t very high.

Spanish Poster For "Jennifer's Body"

In case you weren't already hot and bothered by all of the promotion surrounding the upcoming Megan Fox vehicle "Jennifer's Body," behold the Spanish version of the film's theatrical poster. Regardless of how spectacular you think the picture's going to be, you've got to hand it to the marketing team's alluring campaign. They know why you're going to watch, and they're not above exploiting that fact. Way to go!

"Jennifer's Body" opens on September 18th.

Horror Headlines: Tuesday August 18th, 2009

Anne Rice loves to write about Lestat as if he's a real life person... oh, and she would also love it if Robert Downey Jr. signed onto the role. Both of those are things I learned from a recent posting to her website regarding the casting rumors that came out late last week.

Overture films is pushing their sci-fi film "Pandorum" ahead a week to make way for "Jennifer's Body". This puts the film at a September 25th release date, up against (for now) the remake of "The Crazies".

Myspace has the first official clip from "The Final Destination". Ya, this is going to be terrible, and probably a little awesome too, but mostly terrible.

Legendary horror writer Shirley Jackson's "We Have Always Lived in this Castle" has been picked up for an adaptation by Michael Douglas' production company.

In Real People News:

When you up and remove your genitals seemingly out of nowhere, one thing you don't expect to hear from the doctor is "good job".

People are BBQ'ing dogs in New Zealand. Strike 1 for New Zealand. They're lucky they gave us Peter Jackson or they'd be dead to me right now.

Nobel laureate Sir William Golding, the guy who wrote "Lord of the Flies" admits to setting school age boys against each other for research while writing the book. Oh, and he maybe kind of tried to rape a girl when he was 15. Ya, it wasn't a great day for him.

On this day in history:

1590: Sent to England to get supplies three years prior, John White finally returns to Roanoke Island and discovers his colony "strongly enclosed with a high palisade of great trees, with [curtain walls] and [bastions] -- very fort-like." There is no sign of the settlers or where they may have gone.

Megan Fox in Fake PSA for "Jennifer's Body"

You can’t have a film with just a trailer these days. Nope you need all kinds of viral shit that will get splatter all over the youtubes and your facebooks so that you live in constant fear that everything you read is actually just some clever advertisement for the next Harrison Ford film. The upcoming Diablo Cody film “Jennifer’s Body” is no different, but it’s viral video does have Megan Fox... And she says “fuck" in it. Which is kind of hot.

EW interviews Megan Fox & More

EW interviewed the main "Jennifer's Body" folks at
SDCC 09 in this video, including director Karyn Kusama, writer Diablo Cody, producer Jason Reitman, and star Megan Fox. A warning: Megan Fox dishes out the movie's plot (up until people start dying), so if you want to go into the movie cold, turn off the sound until 1:10 of course be warned that if you do that you'll miss the dirty talk!

Final Poster for Jennifer's Body

I'm not going to lie, I thought the trailer for "Jennifer's Body" looked terrible... but count me among the many out there who will pretty much watch anything that Megan Fox is in, so needless to say I love this poster. Release date, September 12th, 2009.

"Jennifer's Body" Red Band Trailer

Much buzz and speculation has been floating around the Megan Fox starring horror thriller "Jennifer's Body". Written by hipster allstar and "Juno" scribe Diablo Cody, no one has been sure what to make of her penning an original horror flick.

Today, the official red band trailer has hit the internet and here it is for you're enjoyment!

Horror Headlines: Monday June 22nd, 2009

Until Rob Zombie changes his mind, this is the official one-sheet for "Halloween 2". I actually like it, although they clearly haven't fired the lettering guy from the last poster that ended up being a disaster. Could that text at the top possibly be real?

Tons of pictures from a recent "Night of the Creeps" reunion, being filmed for the upcoming DVD. Check the Flickr set at the link.

Wes Craven says he's not quite finished shooting "25/8" yet, as they may go back for some reshoots in July. Then he's hoping to have everything finished for a possible late '09/early 2010 release.

Megan Fox talks about "Jennifer's Body", including the fact that she was not able to deviate from Diablo Cody's script one single word, because Diablo Cody fancies herself the greatest screenwriter in the world.

Paul Schrader pens remake to "Tomie", the Japanese horror series with 7 sequels. I've heard of these films but have never seen any, can one of our readers fill us in in the comments?

In Real People News:

Cop pulls gun on Mcdonald's employees because he was convinced they were moving slowly on purpose to piss him off. Sure thing sir, one spit-burger coming right up.

Iraq is being overrun by a plague of snakes. Yikes. There's some nightmare fuel for you on this Monday morning.

On this day in history:

1633: The Holy Office in Rome forces Galileo Galilei to recant his scientific view that the Sun, not the Earth, is the center of the Universe: "I abjure with a sincere heart and unfeigned faith these errors and heresies, and I curse and detest them as well as any other error, heresy or sect contrary to the Holy Catholic Church."
