Not wanting to be permanently tied to "Twilight", Director Catherine Hardwicke and actor Emile Hirsch are in early talks for a big screen version of "Hamlet". The twist being, both parties are dropping hints that their "Hamlet" will be of the suspense/horror variety. Here's hoping Shakespeare doesn't sparkle.

Rob Zombie has announced his next movie plans, yet another remake, this time of genre classic "The Blob". "My intention is not to have a big red blobby thing, that's the first thing I want to change," Zombie stated in a recent interview. It begs the question; has this guy actually seen 'the blob'?

Deborah Ann Woll, red headed teen-aged vamp of HBO's "True Blood" has signed on for indie supernatural thriller "Little Murder". The film takes place in a post Katrina south and follows a disgraced detective on the hunt of a killer, with the help dead Cellist's ghost.

In case you weren't aware, there's a new movie out today called "H2" directed by Rob Zombie! Fearing that they were too lax in their marketing push, Zombie and crew have released a new motion poster for "H2". Before you click the link, I must warn you; it contains spoilers. Michael Myers stabs people!

So here we've got the new poster for Rob Zombies' “H2”. Or is it “Halloween 2” now? I’m so confused.

And it isn’t just the title that is throwing me off at this point. Based on the preview we saw a couple weeks back I’m making the assumption that that is Michael’s mother in the background, played by site favorite Sheri Moon Zombie. And based on her stance if I was going to make a guess as to what’s going on here, I’d say little Mike is late for dinner and Deborah is pissed.

As promised, the trailer for Rob Zombie's "H2" landed over at Yahoo Movies today. We'll update this post as soon as we can get our hands on an embeddable version.

UPDATED: Now with video!

Clearly I've been hating on Rob Zombie's "H2" pretty much since the second it was announced. That's no secret. I'm giving it a rest for at least a day though, because this footage that aired on Entertainment Tonight late last week is actually really sweet. I waited a few days so I could find a version that wasn't recorded with a camera pointed at someone's television. That's so 2001, guys. Come on!

This is the latest photo from Rob Zombie's "H2", dispersed to the eagerly awaiting public this afternoon.

Based on what I know of the script, this is taken in the bathroom right before Myers gets on stage to battle rap against Dr. Loomis, and right after he vomits up his mom's spaghetti.

Zing! Okay, so Mark told me I have to be nicer to Rob Zombie from now on, and I'm trying, I really am. That one was just too easy though. I kid because I love.

Sam Raimi's "Drag Me To Hell" has officially been rated PG-13. Apparently there are people surprised by this... haven't you seen the trailer?

Poster for that French zombie film "Mutants" I told you about last week. I'm sure it doesn't mean the same thing in English, but I was really intrigued by the words "PLUS TARD" on the poster. That's a new one.

Akroyd gives more details on "Ghostbusters 3". Apparently the "young recruits" we've mentioned will be "cadets" at some kind of academy. That is AWESOME. He also says that they are going to do everything they can to get Sigourney Weaver on board, who seems to be the last holdout in restarting the franchise.

The plot is pretty standard but the title isn't. Today's awesome indie title award goes to Albino Farm. That is all.

Ron Perlman says they'll probably be shooting "Bubba Nosferatu" this Fall. I still don't think he'll make a great Elvis, but since he's terrifying I'm pretty sure he wins every argument no matter what.

If you live in New York or Las Angeles, you will see a teaser for Rob Zombie's "H2" before "Crank 2" this weekend. If you're not in those areas, tough luck. You will see Amy Smart's boobs though, and that is the greatest gift anyone could ask for.

One of the stars of "The Sarah Connor Chronicles", Thomas Dekker has signed on to co-star in Platinum Dunes' "A Nightmare on Elm St." remake. A self described horror fan, Dekker will share on screen time with the other male lead, Kyle Gallner from "The Haunting in Connecticut".

New UK quad for Sam Raimi's "Drag Me To Hell", revamped with lots of shiny new pull-quotes. Not sure I feel good about the biggest one being "Ain't It Cool News" (does anyone really read that site?), but it seems that the buzz is starting out good nonetheless. The film hits theaters May 29th.

New pic from "H2", showing Myers stabbing the crap out of someone in what appears to be a hospital. Zombie has said that only a brief portion of the film will take place in the hospital, and that it will not be a direct remake of 1981's "Halloween II".

I know we shouldn't encourage the guys over at Asylum, known for their terrible, awful little movies with blatantly ripped-off titles, but I just can't help it. Here's the teaser trailer for "The Terminators", which hits DVD April 28th.

"Wrong Turn 3" director Declan O'brien to remake "Little Shop of Horrors", with help from "Bourne" producer. Nope, not making that up. He also says he'll be "taking it in a different direction". Not sure what that means, but feel free to speculate wildly in the comments.

Patrick Tatopoulos to direct adaptation of the forthcoming comic book "I, Frankenstein". The story shows old school monsters who have evolved and are living in a modern film-noir setting.
