Horror Headlines: Thursday December 24th, 2009

If you thought "Repo! The Genetic Opera" was a total misfire, take a quick peek at the new trailer for Miguel Sapochnik's "Repo Men." Similar premise, a lot less warbling. That's a good thing, right?

The sequel to "Demonic Toys" is almost upon us. To keep us satiated until its release, feast your tiny eyes on this pair of interesting clips from the long-awaited follow-up. The violent wretching that ensues is perfectly natural.

Because people have absolutely nothing better to do with their free time, a trailer for the new colorized version "Night of the Living Dead" has appeared online. In 3D, no less. That horse is dead, people.

On this day in history:

1997 - David Lee Jackson, a former postal worker, takes several hostages at a mail sorting center in Denver, Colorado.

Todd has been a slave to the horror genre for as long as he can remember. After cutting his teeth on late-night Cinemax schlock and the low-budget offerings found on the classic USA program "Up All Night," our hero moved valiantly into the world of sleazy obscura, consuming the oddest films from around the world with the reckless abandon of a man without fear or reason. When he isn't sitting mindlessly in front of a television set, he can be found stuffing music, video games, and various literary scribblings into his already cluttered mindscape.
