Mark Pellington, director of "The Mothman Prophecies" and "Arlington Road" _blank" target="_blank">has been slated to direct the US remake of "The Orphanage".

Matthijs van Heijningen Jr. will begin filming in March on his big budget prequel to John Carpenter's "The Thing". Merging directly with the original film, the prequel will concentrate on the Norwegian camp who's final survivors were found in the original film.
