Horror Headlines: Tuesday September 1st, 2009

Rebecca De Mornay has signed on to Darren Lynn Bousman's "Mother's Day" remake, as the titular mother. I would make a Seinfeld joke here but every time I do it becomes painfully obvious how old I am.

MTV has optioned the pilot to a "Teen Wolf" television series, and sent out a press release with the most inane executive quotes ever. "It has more of an 'American Werewolf in Paris' feel to it" was my particular favorite. Just start punching yourself in the balls right now.

You know the recent rash of prank calls that's leading to fast food employees doing all sorts of stupid things? Well, if not you can read about it here. My point being, the guy you see in that mughshot is actually smarter than your average fast food employee. Now that's scary.

The previous night, a Polish commando team shot their way into a German radio station in the border town of Gleiwitz, and broadcasted a radical call to arms against the peaceloving people of Germany. Except that it was all an elaborate sham engineered by Nazi general Reinhard Heydrich, dubbed Operation Canned Goods.
