"Dead Space 2" Developers Share Their Horror Influences (VIDEO)

"Dead Space" was just about the scariest gaming experience experience of the past five years. When I completed the game, it left me with the same awestruck feeling that a great horror movie would. As it turns out, this is no coincidence. As anticipation for "Dead Space 2" builds, the dev team sat down with Game Informer to share some of their most prominent horror influences, which are actually quite diverse.

D.J. Caruso to direct "Dead Space"

Variety reports today that "Distrubia" director D.J. Caruso has been handed the helm to the big screen adaptation of "Dead Space". Still in the early stages, the director and studio are just now shopping around various screenwriters, so as of yet there isn't even a screenplay to be read.
