Failed Russian Missle Launch Causes UFO Scare in Norway

At 2AM on Wednesday, citizens of Norway were treated to this brilliant spinning light show in the sky, which understandably freaked a good many people out. As it turns out, the illumination was most likely created from a failed Russian test missile. Of course, if there's a single grain of uncertainty in language about a strange happening, you better believe the nuts are jumping all over it.

Horror Headlines: Thursday December 10th, 2009

Generally speaking, a poster for an upcoming big-budget Hollywood remake isn't much of a news item. However, the latest "Clash of the Titans" poster is seriously badass, and worthy of your attention. Medusa would be proud.

British zombie fans, rejoice! Apparently, George A. Romero's upcoming "Survival of the Dead" will infect Region 2 DVD players on March 15th, 2010. Stateside fanatics, I'm afraid, may have a while to wait.

If, for some strange reason, Oren Peli's "Paranormal Activity" left you wanting more, be sure to check out the new digital comic book available exclusively on iTunes. Remember: That's boredom you're experiencing, not demonic possession.

Those jonesing for another installment of the new "Friday the 13th" franchise aren't going to be happy, as the sequel to Marcus Nispel's dodgy remake has been moved to an undetermined date. Given the film's lukewarm reception, I'm honestly not surprised.

As much as your smelly redneck neighbors may annoy you, at least they're not using their free time to feed and nourish the local vulture population. I'm creeped out just thinking about it.

On this day in history:

1993 - At a ceremony performed inside a London temple, Adolf Hitler is baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

"The Fourth Kind" trailer

Joey, you can keep your angels and demons, because aliens will always creep me out even more. And, thanks to "The Fourth Kind" trailer, you can now add owls to my list of creep outs.

Updated "District 9" Trailer Hits The Net

There’s a message in the new trailer for “District 9” I just know it. I’m pretty sure it has something to do with intolerance and people being nicer to cockroaches or something along those lines. Anyway an updated version of the trailer Eric posted a couple weeks back has made it’s way online. This time the aliens face is not blurred and his speech has been subtitled. Everything else is the same from the original trailer but with the new subtitles we now understand that our new outer space friends just want to go home. But we’re sure as hell not going to let them.
