Retro Trailer: Creepshow (1982)

It goes without saying that "Creepshow" is one of the most popular horror anthologies around. It's definitely one of my go-to movies for the Halloween season. Director George A. Romero and writer Stephen King bring us 5 tales of terror in a tribute to the EC comics of the 1950's. The segments are tied together by short animated sequences surrounding a young boy named Billy (Stephen's son, Joe King) who is punished by his father (Tom Atkins) for reading horror comics. Many familiar faces such as Leslie Nielsen, Ted Danson, Adrienne Barbeau, Ed Harris, E.G. Marshall, Hal Holbrook and Stephen King appear in the five stories, which include tales of a horrific Father's Day celebration, a meteor, a vengeful husband, a monster in a crate, and a germ-a-phobic millionaire.
