The adaptation of the Award Winning Graphic Novel "Preacher", now has a writer: John August. If you recalll, Sam Mendes ("American Beauty", "Road to Perdition") has already been tapped as the director. The credits of August's that stick out to me most would be "Corpse Bride" and "Big Fish", both films he wrote.
IFC films has just picked up two films for US Distribution, The Nazi-Zombie movie "Dead Snow" and "The Objective" from Dan Myrick, co-director of "The Blair Witch Project. "The Objective" is about a special forces team in Afghanistan who unexpectedly runs into an ancient evil.
