"Aliens Vs Predator" Screens are Looking Good

Although we often talk about film remakes, we don't devote nearly as much attention to game remakes. Part of the reason is that aside from Nintendo's NES rehashes on the Wii, they aren't that commonplace. Thankfully though, SEGA had enough sense to port the very well received "Aliens Vs. Predator" PC game to the PS3 and Xbox 360 with some updates.

Like the PC original, the new Aliens VS Predator title will feature three separate campaign modes, one for each of the three factions represented in the game. Players will be able to experience the conflict surrounding the damned colony of Freya's Prospect from the perspective of the Aliens, the Predators, and the United States Marine Corps.

Along with the single player comes what they are calling "the reinvention of one of multiplayer gaming's defining moments", with a series of unique 3-way online modes that allow players to play any of the three races.

These screens look amazing, and the multiplayer mode sounds out of this world (get it?). The original game was very innovative for allowing you to play as any of the 3 races (Human, Alien, Predator), and even though games like "Left 4 Dead" have played into that formula a bit, I'm not sure anything matches the satisfaction of taking the reigns of a Predator and hacking the shit out of everything you can get your hands on. We're looking at "2010" for this one, but if it plays nearly as nice as it looks, it should be well worth the wait.
