Video: "Alien Vs. Predator" The Video Game

I've fallen out of the loop on the whole "Alien Vs. Predator" movie craze but apparently they haven't been very good. The video game coming out on March 31st though looks good, very good even. I could use a little more game play footage and a ton more Jesse The Body but from the looks of things you can be all bad ass and kill the crap out of humans. Dreams do come true. Check the video out below and pick up your copy for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Windows PC in March.

Snapshot: "Deadspace 2" (2010)

Australia Grants MA15+ Rating to "Aliens vs Predator" Game

It was recently announced that the "Aliens vs Predator" reboot for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3, will in fact no longer be banned in Australia, and will appear on shelves uncut, contrary to previous speculation. It was also announced that it will carry an MA15+ rating, prohibiting anyone under the age of 15 from purchasing the game. Although this is seen as a victory for the gaming community, it has left some people wondering whether there should be a steeper rating category than MA15+, which is currently the country's highest rating before refusing to sell a game altogether.

"Dead Space 2" Developers Share Their Horror Influences (VIDEO)

"Dead Space" was just about the scariest gaming experience experience of the past five years. When I completed the game, it left me with the same awestruck feeling that a great horror movie would. As it turns out, this is no coincidence. As anticipation for "Dead Space 2" builds, the dev team sat down with Game Informer to share some of their most prominent horror influences, which are actually quite diverse.

Behind The Scenes Clip From “Wolfenstein”

It’s been months since I’ve turned on my Xbox 360 but from the looks of the newly released behind the scenes clip from “Wolfenstein” I think I might be picking up the controller again. Activision gives a pretty good overview of the game and how it’s evolved, and most importantly explains to fans how they’ve tried to stay true to the original games. “Wolfenstein” comes out for the Xbox 360, PC, and Playstation 3 on August 4th.

Spray Some Blood with L4D2's Melee Weapons

One of the things that was missing from the original "Left 4 Dead" was melee weapons. Sure, guns, Molotov cocktails, and pipe bombs are cool, but do you really think that those things would be as easily at your disposal when the zombie apocalypse comes? Thankfully, the omission is being rectified in "Left 4 Dead 2," and this off-screen video from the floor of this week's San Diego Comicon shows just how fun (and bloody!) these new additions can be:

"Bioshock 2" Delayed Until 2010

The buzz machine has been firing on all cylinders for the past few months over the fall release of "Bioshock 2," including shipments of records, paper dolls, and misc promotional materials to media outlets. Unfortunately, the news broke yesterday that even with such strong hype, we're going to have to wait just a bit longer to get our hands on the game, specifically the (I'm sure intentionally) vague "2010 fiscal year."

"AAA: El Videojuego", Best News I've Heard all Day

For whatever reason, I haven't bought a non-XBLA game in months. It could be the fact that it's the summer (yeah right), but it's more likely the fact that nothing has particularly tickled my fancy of late. Apparently, someone was listening to my fanboy longings, as the virtually unknown publisher Slang has announced and demoed "AAA: El Videojuego," a wrestling game based on the popular lucha libre promotion Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA), which houses many familiar faces from the lucha bouts on WCW Monday Nitro in the 90's, and more recently, TNA.

"Ghostbusters" Video Game Mini-Review

The video game world has been abuzz this week with the release of the "Ghostbusters" video game, and the buzz is good. Thanks to a pretty awesome daughter, I got my own copy for Father's Day! After a good six hours spent busting ghosts (it really does make you feel good, fyi), I'm proud to report that the early twinges of excitement and hype that was felt back when the game was first announced are all justified.

"Brutal Legend" Dumps Dio for Tim Curry

I haven't spoken much about the upcoming metal-infused adventure game "Brütal Legend" starring Jack Black, mostly because I think Metalocalypse took metal irony, perfected it, and then beat it to death. However, with cameos from the likes of Ozzy Ozbourne and Rob Halford, 'Legend' should be an entertaining, if not very fun game. Up until recently, that fun included the vocal talent of one Ronnie James Dio (Black Sabbath, Rainbow, etc.), but that is no longer.
