Sure there is no script and apparently not even a green light but why the hell not start throwing out ideas for the sequel to this year's “Friday the 13th” reboot. And that’s just what producers Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are doing right now. Sometimes the internet and the power to get word of your every thought out to millions of people is a terrible, terrible thing.
I have to admit I’m a little intrigued as to how they would pull this off. Getting a group of kids to go camping in the middle of the winter is no easy task but I’m sure they’ll figure it out. Just think of how cool it would be if Jason interrupted a pickup hockey game.
Alright, so it’s settled. Jason is going on a snow killing spree. Well maybe not, while addressing the criticisms that the kills in the first Friday reboot weren't creative enough Fuller had this to say:
Wait what? Jason in space? Hasn’t that happened already? Is that statement even English? What the hell are you talking about. Maybe it’s best to not say anything until you get your shit together because right now I’m so confused that I’m not even positive they’re going to put Jason in the sequel. Or maybe they’ll give him four arms and have him breath fire? Go nuts! Skip the sequel all together and just jump ahead, like they did with that Bill Cosby movie “Leonard 6”.
In any case right now they’re shooting for an August 13, 2010 release date. Yup, on a film that has no script or even approval to go into production there’s a release date. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills here.
