10 Horror Heavy Music Videos NOT Named Thriller

Everyone has seen the video for "Thriller". Rightfully so, too, it's a great song and the video was truly revolutionary for it's time. However, it crowds out dozens of other music videos that have drawn heavily from horror films for their inspiration. Because there are so many of these other, lesser known, videos, here's a list of 10 of my favorites from a pretty diverse mix of genres:

Heavy Metal News Updates!

- The big news of the week, Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie are not only touring together, but they've posted dates! Which are...sparse...to say the least. A handful of Mid- and West-Canadian dates, topped off with two in the booming metropolises (metropoli? metropolies? metropoliseses? What's the plural of metropolis?) of Kennewick, Washington and Casper, Wyoming. Let's hope this is a warm up for a bigger tour, perhaps around Halloween.

- Fear Factory also just announced their tour dates, so heads up to fans on the west coast and in the southwestern US.

"Brutal Legend" Dumps Dio for Tim Curry

I haven't spoken much about the upcoming metal-infused adventure game "BrĂ¼tal Legend" starring Jack Black, mostly because I think Metalocalypse took metal irony, perfected it, and then beat it to death. However, with cameos from the likes of Ozzy Ozbourne and Rob Halford, 'Legend' should be an entertaining, if not very fun game. Up until recently, that fun included the vocal talent of one Ronnie James Dio (Black Sabbath, Rainbow, etc.), but that is no longer.
