What are we watching this weekend? Leather body suit edition

It occurred to me recently, that through nearly 5 years of doing our podcast, I've forced the crew to sit through every sequel of every crappy theatrical franchise known to man. We've seen every "Saw" movie", every "Resident Evil" sequel, mainly because well, our mission is to keep our fingers on the pulse of the genre, and you can't do that by only watching movies you loved from your childhood. Admittedly, there might be a little sadism involved as well, but that depends on who you ask ;)

That said, one franchise we have never touched upon in any way is "Underworld". Mainly because I've never seen a single one so it hasn't traditionally been on my radar, but I suppose it's also because the franchise always struck me as more action than horror. I've decided to change that though, much to the chagrin of my fellow co-hosts. So this weekend for the very first time, I am forcing the podcast crew to go out and spend their hard earned dollars to see "Underworld: Awakening 3D". It should be interesting, considering I don't think I'm the only one that has never seen a single film in the series. As we learned back when we reviewed "Saw V", sometimes ridiculousness is better without any context. What I do know is that Kate Beckinsale is back, which I'm sure is a great sign for her career...
