Weekly Horror News Round Up - Friday, November 7th, 2014

Next week we're supposed to get into single digits here in the Chicago area. Word around campus is this winter will somehow be worse than last. Keep in mind last year I saw 3 days in a row when the temperature was -20 or lower. I don't really have a point here. Just that my tears will be freezing in the near future.

• We've all been waiting for the next "Ghostbusters" movie to come out and if have been reading the angry Facebook posts right I think it's actually happening. But let's focus on the first movie, and get ready to complain about how the new one isn't as good with the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, which features a fun reunion article of the original busties having all kinds of photos where Bill Murray looks miserable. Oh there's also a "The Fabulous Baker Boys" reunion in this issue so ya know, maybe run to the store right now..
   
• Of course there's a movie called "Zombeavers", and of course you're going to love it. It hits VOD on March 20, 2015 and I have no idea what it's about but come on. It's a name so clever that you hate yourself for not coming up with it first. Alright it's about beavers who are zombies... but ya know what they're getting at... YOU KNOW.
   
• The trailer for "Dark Star: H.R. Giger’s World", a new doc about... actually I forget what it's about right now... has hit the tubes and it's chock full of all the excitement any white trash kid from the 90's would go gaga for. I mean I guess there's the whole "Alien" thing that people loved but to me H.R. Giger will forever be the guy who designed Danzig's "How the Gods Kill Album". Oh now I've gone and gotten all misty.
   
• And it's not horror news but you can go to hell. The title for the next "Star Wars" movie has been reveled and it's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and you're a prick if you're not excited about it.

• Some would call this Nebraska woman who ran over a woman who stole her parking spot crazy. I would call her a hero. To many people think they can just get away with that crap. It's time to take action people. Stand up! FIGHT THE POWER!
