We all suffer the five day work week and if you’re like me, by Thursday you’re ready to kick back, relax with a couple of drinks and an ooky spooky movie to ease into the weekend. What better way to enjoy this than with a drinking game specifically tailored to the film of the evening. So join me on the first Thursday of the month for a live tweet movie watch with drinking game.
April showers bring May flowers and Splinter, a little 2008 creature feature with a criminal/hostage situation sprinkled in. We watch our main couple get mixed up with a criminal couple and then again mixed in with our creature at an innocent pit stop gas station. We learn a lot about our characters along the way, including a redemption goal for our antagonist to right a past wrong.
Check out Eric's review from 2009.
Rules:
1. Drink whenever someone is called “baby”
2. Swing when the Splinters make a “chitter” sound
3. Sip whenever a body contorts unnaturally
4. Chug whenever someone makes a move that could cause a fire/explosion hazard
5. Gulp whenever someone threatens/points a gun at someone
6. As always…cheers whenever anyone on screen pours or takes a drink from an alcoholic beverage (and for this movie it’s brief, blink and you miss it)
Please join me April 6th 8:30 pm CT for a live tweet of Splinter streaming on Hulu. Follow me on Twitter @BGHThirstyThurs we will be using #tweetwithbgh to follow along
