The DVD Bargain Bin

If you don't own this movie already, you should probably rethink your status as a horror fan! I kid, I kid. I know you already have it on DVD! Now's the time for you decide though; do you buy the upgrade or just keep what you have?

"Andrew is haunted by the nightmare of dying a horrible death in the claw of a rampaging creature. A friend convinces him the only way to conquer imagined fear is to confront it head on. When they invite an adventurous group of off-roaders for radical cycling in remote terrain, no one knows they are being led to the time and place the nightmare unfolds."

So a couple things about this movie; it has 'radical cycling'. It has adventurous off-roaders. Let's not even mention how they're going to combine these EXTREME! elements with a 'claw of a rampaging creature'.

Oscar nominee* Samantha Morton (Minority Report) and Steven Mackintosh (The Escapist) are Martha and Tomas, a grieving couple who move to a remote Irish village in the wake of their baby daughter's death. Samantha Morton as your leading star is a definite plus and the idea of an evil autistic girl is intriguing and probably slightly offensive to the right people! If nothing else, the DVD cover looks top notch!

"Based on the journals of serial killer William Allen Grone, "The Greatest American Snuff Film" is the directors cut sequal containing new footage around the series of events involving the brutal murder and torture of two young women back in 1995. While the film is a dramatization of actual events, it is told through Grone's personal journal entries including shocking evidence from Grones trial. The viewer experiences the brutal nature of this mad man first hand. Actual trial footage is added at the end of the film. Viewer discretion is advised."

From the description alone, "Greatest American Snuff Film" sounds pretty intriguing. Let's hope that they incorporate as much of the real subjects journals as they promise!

"A mystery surrounds a small town that was wiped out on September 9, 2009. Now, sixty years later, Sarah, the last survivor, sends a reporter a letter suggesting what really happened on that day. The government calls 9/9/09 the start of The Modern Plague . The reporter soon realizes her search for the truth may be harder to uncover than the lies..."

I haven't seen an alien invasion movie for awhile. Though the description doesn't say that aliens are indeed the culprit, you have a government cover-up and a DVD cover that says it could well be!

There's a problem when you resort to naming off your equipment in the official plot description of your film. Watcher beware!
