Snapshot: "The Thing" (2011)

In the above snapshot, Mary Elizabeth Winstead ("Scott Pilgrim vs The World") plays Kate Lloyd, a grad student who joins an expedition to Antarctica and discovers a frozen alien life form and... well you know what happens next. A prequel to the 1982 John Carpenter film of the same name, the 2011 film will take place right before the first film, with the original Norwegian crew that discovered the alien. The film is set to release in theaters October 14, 2011.
