Rob Zombie to remake "The Blob"

Okay, well, remember when Rob Zombie said he was going to make "TRex" well, wait, there is more. It has conveniently been announced on the eve of "H2" that Zombie will be remaking "The Blob."
But don't worry, he wants to get rid of that pesky blob thing and add trailer trash and titties, or as I like to call it, Sherri Moon Zombie. According to Variety, Rob says:
"My intention is not to have a big red blobby thing -- that's the first thing I want to change," Zombie said. "That gigantic Jello-looking thing might have been scary to audiences in the 1950s, but people would laugh now. I have a totally different take, one that’s pretty dark.'"
Let's hope the album Zombie puts out in between projects really takes off and he gets too busy to finish this script. It's not like there are die hard "Blob" fans who will dedicate 20 minutes to protest this remake on their podcasts, but in principle, someone should.
