A group of small-town Christian teens in the early 90’s are working their lives away at the local movie theater when they find a disgarded movie - giving into curiosity the teens find so much more than they bargained for.
After hours the employees get to pick from the two options the tiny, conservative theater has to offer – and of course no one agrees. The employees are neatly boxed into their stereotypes: Chasity (Jillian Mueller) the sweet girl next door who is flirting with goth culture and also happens to be the newly promoted assistant manager, Abe (Evan Daves) and Todd (Larry Saperstein) are the pair of nerdy best friends who also happen to be burgeoning perverts, Ricky (Glenn Scott) is the prodigal jock returning from camp who happens to also be Chasity’s love interest, and lastly there’s Heavy Metal Jeff (Robbie Tan) the resident hardcore straight edge-home from college on an undefined sabbatical and also runs the projector at the theater.
Brought together in friendship based solely on proximity, the movie theater crew are a rag tag bunch of small-town kids just looking for a good time. While arguing about which movie to watch again for the billionth time, the crew stumbles upon an old projector reel and decides to give it a go. Quickly realizing that the hidden movie is in their words a “porno” but in fact is a recorded sex ritual summoning a demon, the teens quickly shut it off. Unfortunately for them, the damage is already done and the sex demon in the video is actually Lilith (Katelyn Pierce) – who is out for a bit of her own summoning. Now being stalked through the theater by a sex demon who is literally out for blood, the teens must stick together to send her back to Hell.
Porno gives you the fun of a Scooby Doo episode but with a bit more ‘heavy metal’ gore. Writers Matt Black and Laurence Vannicelli do a great job of creating characters with enough depth they are easy to root for, but not enough that you don’t mind when the gore sets in. In Keola Racela’s hands, Porno is a fun little romp with a crazed sex demon.
