Believe it or not, back in the day, Disney used to produce some great family friendly horror films. "Something Wicked This Way Comes", "Return to Oz", and "Child of Glass" are just a few that I remember watching and loving as a child. My favorite? "The Watcher in the Woods", a film about sisters, Ellie (Kyle Richards) and Jan (Lynn-Holly Johnson), who are haunted by the ghost of a teenage girl who disappeared during a solar eclipse 30 years before. Bette Davis puts forth an eerie performance as the mysterious Mrs. Aylwood, the mother of the missing girl. Despite being a family movie and being a bit dated, the film offers up some pretty creepy scenes and is still a lot of fun to watch.
