A vacationing couple, Polly (Jill Wagner) and Seth (Paulo Costanzo), are taken hostage by a criminal (Shea Whigham) and his drug addicted girlfriend (Rachael Kerbs). When their car is damaged by a strange splinter infested animal, the foursome must isolate themselves in a nearby gas station and fight for their lives. This movie has a ton going for it. The acting is solid (especially Shea Whigham's character), the script is tight and fast paced, and the visual effects are great. Another plus? It doesn't use heavy CGI. All in all, it's a pretty solid creature feature. To hear more about "Splinter," be sure to check out what the guys had to say about the film, over at the BGH Classic Page.
