When I was about 10 years old, I watched the film "Dolls," which subsequently led to my porcelain doll collection being packed away and put in the attic. With the tag line "they walk, they talk, they kill," how could I not be terrified? Directed by Stuart Gordon, the film centers around a group of travelers who take shelter from a storm inside of a mansion inhabited by a doll maker, his wife and their collection of creepy dolls. Having just recently watched the film again, I can say that it is not the scarefest I remember from back in the day. It does, however, manage to hold it's own as a creepy little flick with some good gore scenes and even a slight fairy tale angle to it. MGM released this one on DVD in September of 2005. If you have Netflix, this one is also available on Instant Watch!
