I'm probably more excited about the upcoming "Splatterhouse" redux, and admittedly, my expectations are probably way too high. The original was one of the best beat-em-ups of the 16 bit era, albeit one that not all that many people knew about. I have a feeling that this is going to slip under a lot of people's radars, and I'm not sure that this helps:
To me, having live action clips in a video game trailer screams "not good looking enough to show you any in-game footage." Even if it doesn't end up being the prettiest girl at the prom, I'm hoping that the promised over-the-top gore will still provide a satisfying experience. I'm going to reserve my harshest judgments until I see more.
