Retro Clip: "Creepshow 2" (1987)

I love the Creepshow series, with my favorite short from them being in "Creepshow 2" The Raft features four college kids who decide to take an autumn swim at a secluded lake and are then terrorized by a hungry oil slick. They are trapped on a raft in the middle of the lake and unable to get away from the sludge like substance that's taking them out one by one. One of the things I really like about this movie is that there is no backstory regarding what the oil slick is or how it got there. I also love the ending. The ending in the movie is slightly different than Stephen King's short story of the same name (featured in his short story collection, Skeleton Crew) but it gives the story that quirky appeal that most of the stories in the Creepshow collection have.
