Oliver Stone wrote and directed 1981's "The Hand," a movie that scared the beejeezus out of me as a kid. "The Hand" is about, unsurprisingly, a hand. It is also a remake of a 1946 movie, "The Beast With Five Fingers," and is based on Marc Brandell's novel, A Lizard's Tail. Michael Caine stars as Jonathan Lansdale, a comic strip artist who loses his hand in an accident. The severed hand begins to stalk Jonathan and kill the people around him. The whole killer hand thing is really nothing new, but the stellar acting, some genuinely tense scenes and a fun twist ending all make it a worthwhile watch.
