"Paranormal Activity" Gets Wide Release!

I was just digging through my morning horror news when I saw that the current indie phenomenon "Paranormal Activity", after 2 weeks of sold out midnight showings across the country, has finally garnered a wide release! Paramount Pictures will be pushing the film out across the country on October 16th, which is next Friday!

"From the very beginning, we put this film in the hands of the fans and we trusted them to tell us where and when it should be seen. We couldn’t be more thrilled by their overwhelming support and we are happy to release the film in every town - big and small,” said Rob Moore, Vice Chairman of Paramount Pictures.

The film's running at 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, and even Roger Ebert liked it, so now's your chance to check it out incase you didn't make it out to one of the showings over the last few weeks. This is a great example of what horror fans can do with the help of a studio who knows the value of their product. So kudos to Paramount, and kudos to everyone who wrote and called to help get this out wider. Let the countdown begin!
