During our last podcast episode I was praddling on and on about a "Boogeyman" movie I had seen as a child. I couldn't remember a lot of the details, with the exception of a few vague images left in my head. Several of our loyal listeners, being the pop culture experts that they are, were able to steer me in the right direction when it came to the film I was actually talking about. Listener T-Dog hit me up first, and informed me that the title was "Mr. Boogedy".
"Mr. Boogedy" was a 1986 made-for-TV Disney film, and the plot goes like this:
I couldn't find the trailer online, but I did find this one scene and the hilarious montage below it. Needless to say, I nearly peed myself with nostalgia while watching these videos. I literally cannot describe the joy I get from rediscovering old childhood gems like this. Of course, the joy doesn't always survive modern day viewings, but I'm sure that won't stop me. It's not released on DVD, so it looks like I'll have to check Ebay for a copy. Once that's done, maybe I'll even check out the sequel, "Bride of Boogedy" (!)
