There's an interesting article over at the L.A. Times today from writer Gina McIntyre. It's titled Studios Know: "Horror Sells," and in the piece McIntyre examines the resurgence of horror that is taking place in 2009.
There's a lot to chew on, including quotes from Craven, Aja, Zombie and others. I've been trying to tackle some of these issues in my weekly box office posts, but McIntyre does a more thorough job of looking at the rest of this year. My guess is that a lot of readers here will take exception to one, or many, of her points. I would love to dig into this further, but just don't have the time right now, so I wanted to throw it out to the crowd.
