Merry Christmas!

So, it's that time of year! Time for fat men in red suits to break into your houses in the middle of the night! (Yes, I do have a red suit, and yes I will be in your house. I prefer cookies with white chocolate chips.)

Here's hoping everybody has a safe and happy one, and you get all sorts of phat loot!

In the meantime, the Christmas holidays also some with time off from work with time to kill in front of the boob tube. Especially those of us with kids. (I think we got woken up at about 5:30am last year) So, here are a handful of my favorite Christmas time movies! Now, these aren't all horror, just keep that in mind!

The first two are must watches, and are watched every Christmas morning, natch. The rest make for good additions and may enter into the revolving tradition soon!

The first, and most important to be taken in on Christmas day, "Christmas Vacation":

Next up is the always classic "A Christmas Story"! Who can possibly go through a Christmas without watching this?

For me, nothing says warm, fuzzy, cozy, and 'home' like the Muppets. So, "The Muppets Christmas Carol" is always a good fit on the rotation as well!

Now for the gory stuff!

Another annual Christmas movie is of course, "Gremlins"! Even more so now because my 8 year old daughter thinks that Gremlins 1 and 2 are about the greatest thing put to film!

I didn't discover "Santa's Slay" until last year, but by god, it cracked me up. So, it goes on the list as well! (Despite what Schnaars says!)

And finally, no holiday is complete without a little b-movie cheer. For that, "Silent Night, Deadly Night" always fits the bill quite well!

So there you go folks, six flicks to keep you entertained on Christmas morning while the kids are disemboweling presents and trashing your house!

Have a fun and safe one!

Edit: You know what, I'm full of cheer today, so I'm going to send you off by saying Mele Kalikimaka! (And share with you may favorite Christmas song ever! )
