Netflix Instant Watch: "Dark Shadows" (1966)

I was pretty psyched when I came upon the original "Dark Shadows" gothic soap opera on Netflix Instant Watch this weekend. Set in an old mansion off the coast of Maine, cult favorite "Dark Shadows" follows the Collins family, who manage to cross paths with ghosts, werewolves, witches and other supernatural beings over the course of several centuries. The whole series is available to watch instantly, including the rarely aired season 1 (pre-Barnabus episodes), in which we meet the Collins clan for the first time. Whether you are looking to get a little nostalgic, honor the memory of the recently passed Jonathan Frid (Barnabus Collins), or getting ready for Tim Burton's May 11 theatrical release, it's worth a look.
