Los Campeones De La Lucha Libre!

While I've been sitting back eagerly anticipating/dreading Rob Zombies perpetually-in-production animated Lucha film "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto," the folks behind lucha zine "From Parts Unknown" have been piecing together an animated feature called "Los Campeones De La Lucha Libre" (that's spanish for, the niño) that looks to be a slightly more teenish if not adultish version of Cartoon Network's "Mucha Lucha," and I'm ok with that! The great thing about the lucha subgenre is that, except for a few snafu's and misappropriations, MOST lucha themed work is in the hands of true appreciators of the 'sport' and the tradition. Hell, even "Nacho Libre" was more respectful of the lucha tradition than most American films about other cultures. That being said, give the trailers a gander and head over to FPU's official site.

Here's the Spanish-launguage trailer for the endeavoring folks...

...and an english trailer for the cheaters
