"Live Evil" A New Spin on Vampires

Every day people fill their blood with all kinds of awful toxins. Booze, nicotine and God knows what kind of STD’s you people have floating around your systems. All of these things combined have polluted your blood to the point where it’s almost undrinkable to your local vampires. You selfish bastards.

Well the makers of “Live Evil” have taken this idea and ran with it. The film stars genre vets Tim Thomerson ("Near Dark", "Trancers"), Ken Foree ("Dawn of the Dead", "Halloween"), and Tiffany Shepis ("Nightmare Man"). I’ll pretty much watch anything with Tiffany Shepis running around but then you thrown in Tim Thomerson as a vampire hunting priest? And in the trailer he kills a vampire baby? I'm sold.

A hunter dressed in black. This cowboy-hat-wearing samurai-sword-wielding Priest is on a quest for blood. Vampire blood. He's out for revenge on a "clique" of four vampires who are traveling across country in search of "pure blood." The human blood stream has become polluted by drugs, alcohol, Aids, Diabetes, anti-depressants, cigarettes, anything that changes the blood even a small amount makes it undrinkable for Vampires, who, like hi-performance automobiles need "hi test" fuel= Blood in order to survive.

It's nice to see a different spin finally coming on the whole vampire genre. "Live Evil" will hit theaters with a limited release of about 300 theaters on September 18th and is expected to be out in DVD and VOD in early November.
