Horror Fans Rejoice: A Horror-Centric Streaming Service is Coming

AMC Networks is currently beta testing a new streaming service, called Shudder, for fear junkies of all stripes. The site will work similarly to other streaming sites like Netflix and Hulu, but will feature horror titles exclusively. As of right now, there are more than two hundred films available on Shudder, spanning subgenres, countries, and years.

The site will break films up into categories like "Comedy of Terrors" and "Psychos and Madmen" for customers to peruse and watch commercial-free. If you're a little worried that this library will be too full of optiosns, don't fret. There will also be an option called Shudder TV, which will continuously stream horror films like a television channel that you can click in and out of to avoid being overwhelmed by the selection, or just to stumble upon something new.

There is no set date yet for the official launch of the site, but if you head over to Shudder's home page you can enter your email address to be updated as soon as the site goes live!

Shudder will cost $4.99 per month, of $49.99 per year.

Sophie's introduction into the magic that is the horror genre was watching Halloween at a party in high school, and since then she's never looked back. She may be the wimpiest horror fan you have ever met, but she won't ever let that stop her!
