"Frankenhood" Coming To DVD May 5th

There was an episode of Saturday Night Live once where Will Farrell is doing his impression of James Lipton and makes the comment about the film "A Troll in Central Park",

I like to think the world will have the same comment about the film “Frankenhood” when it’s released on May 5th. Happy Cinco de Mayo. The movie is a story of triumph about two morticians who dream about finding their way out of the hood. I think we all see where this is going, right?

The guys find a mad scientist, played by Charlie Murphy, to bring a dead guy back to life. Why would they do that? Why to have him play on their basketball team in the hopes of winning $25,000 in a tournament, obviously. Sometimes the most obvious plots are the best.

So as ridiculous as this sounds, there is a 95% chance I will not only watch this film but I will love it. Take a look at the trailer below and feel free to post your comments. For some reason Lionsgate sending this movie directly to DVD but none-the-less I'm sure its impact will be felt throughout the entire movie industry.
