Eli Roth's Cannibal Film "The Green Inferno" Might Not Make it to Theaters

Those of us who were salivating at the prospect seeing Eli Roth's take on the always controversial cannibal genre on September 5th just received some bad news. For the time being, the release date "The Green Inferno" has been scrapped, perhaps indefinitely.

Oddly enough, it seems that it wasn't the questionable content of "The Green Inferno" that led to the move, but rather that it has become collateral damage in the impossible-to-follow saga of a shakeup at Worldview entertainment, one of the production companies behind the film. Honestly, as an amateur horror pundit, nothing puts me to sleep faster than production drama, and this case is no different. Eli Roth seemingly can't do anything without drumming up some sort of controversy, but there has been enough positive buzz about this flick that I'm hoping it's all worth it.
