Don't Eat the Treats and Steer Clear of the Tricks in the New "Gravy" Trailer

In the new trailer for Gravy, most of the typical Halloween traditions are bypassed in favor of a much grislier past time. Instead of carving up a pumpkin or marathoning their way through a few horror flicks, three of the film’s characters spend October 31 chopping up and devouring a few strangers. However, they are wearing costumes while they murder and cannibalize. At least some things are sacred.

It’s Halloween evening and the employees of a Mexican restaurant are throwing a going away party for one of their own. The evening’s festivities take a turn for the worse when three eccentric maniacs arrive, tie up the staff and announce their sinister intentions: a night of fun and games – where the losers get eaten. Beyond the initial set up and a very high stakes game of “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon,” the trailer is light on actual plot points. Instead, it sticks to showcasing the film’s madcap tone, its band of kooky killers and the unique brand of violence they perpetrate.

Gravy stars Jimmi Simpson (best known as Liam McPoyle from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Michael Weston (Six Feet Under) and Lily Cole (The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus). It was directed by James Roday and written by Roday and Todd Harthan. Gravy is currently available onDemand and on Blu-Ray/DVD.
