10 Horror Heavy Music Videos NOT Named Thriller

Everyone has seen the video for "Thriller". Rightfully so, too, it's a great song and the video was truly revolutionary for it's time. However, it crowds out dozens of other music videos that have drawn heavily from horror films for their inspiration. Because there are so many of these other, lesser known, videos, here's a list of 10 of my favorites from a pretty diverse mix of genres:

This Must be the Place for American Psycho

Miles Fisher, an actor who has appeared in television shows such as MadMen and Gossip Girl is now venturing into music with his take on The Talking Heads most romantic song, "This Must Be the Place." A song that would not seem to suit "American Psycho" so well. But that assumption would be wrong, because Fisher nails so many of "American Psycho's" best scenes to this tune that I now won't be able to think of anything remotely romantic while listening to it... now it's more like the thought of driving an axe into someone's skull. Let's just say, it definitely adds depth. har har.

David Lynch Directs Video For Moby

David Lynch and Moby are good friends. They share an interest in transcendental meditation, weird sounds, and isolated factories. So, when Moby needed a music video he asked Lynch, who took a literal approach to the single “Shot in the Back of the Head” from Moby's new album “Wait for Me.”

Awful Metal Videos... Or Are They?

It was the posting of a Candlemass video earlier in the week that got me thinking: while on the subject, is "Bewitched" really the worst metal video of all time? Surely, I could come up with some rivals.

Eminem Gets All Horror With "3AM" Video

That nutty Eminem, what won’t he do? I have to admit I’ve always had a soft spot for the angry little fella and his music. I even saw “8 Mile” opening weekend, but that’s mostly because my life is almost the same exact story. Minus the whole rapping and shooting guns thing.
