Virginia Madsen Interview Footage

What we have here is some interesting raw footage from an interview with Virginia Madsen, Academy Award nominee and star of Lionsgate's upcoming "The Haunting in Connecticut". Madsen is a pretty fantastic actress, and if you believe this footage, also a huge fan of "scary movies". She of course is most well known to horror fans as the female lead in "Candyman", arguably one of the best horror films produced by the 1990's. She seems genuinely excited about the film, and working with first time feature director Peter Cornwell. Included in her glowing comments:

House in Connecticut Gets Unwanted Attention

To this day I still get excited when driving on the Long Island Expressway and I pass the sign for Amityville. The 1979 movie “The Amityville Horror” made the house at 112 Ocean Ave something like a local celebrity. When I was a kid those two front windows of the house frightened the crap out of me way more then Freddy or Jason could. From what I understand people still drive by the house and even stop to take a look and I don’t really blame them.

Haunting in Connecticut Discovery Special

I had heard that the true story behind "The Haunting in Connecticut" had been turned into a TV special at some point, but hadn't taken the time out to try and find it. A reader sent this in to me today, so here it is guys. You can just have your boss bill me directly for the loss of man-hours due to you watching ALL EIGHT PARTS.

Haunting in Connecticut Based on True Story

For whatever reason, there is always a ton of interest in horror films when they are purported to be "Based on True Events". Back when "The Strangers" came out, we were pretty astounded by the traffic sent our way from people searching for the story that the film was supposed to have been based on. Of course, all they found when they got here was this... Helpful? No. Hilarious? Sure.
