BGH Thirsty Thursdays - "Resident Evil" Drinking Game

Here at Bloody Good Horror we spend much of our time talking about good movies and bad movies alike, and picking apart the things that place titles in either category. In horror specifically, there is a beautiful gradient, comprised of everything from "so bad it's good" to "just plain bad." For many movies in this grey area, the viewing experience itself - who you watch it with and how - can be as important as the movie itself. In that tradition, every first Thursday of the month we'll fondly recall one of those kinds of movies that seem made for the loud and alcohol-fueled viewing party, and give you the framework to host a screening of your very own, complete with imbibing instructions!

Note: BGH reminds you to respect the minimum age requirement for drinking in whatever god forsaken hellhole you live in.

A few short weeks ago, trailers dropped for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, the last installment in a cult-classic-series-based-on-a-video-game that got its debut, over a decade ago. The early 2000's were a simpler time; the war in Afghanistan had just begun, we were all coming down off the high of surviving Y2K, and fashion didn't make any sense. This is also the year that the Resident Evil franchise began.

Over the years it has undergone a lot of changes, and we wanted to put together a drinking game to get you through because, as Bob Dylan said, "The times, they are a-changin'." So pour your favorite drink, jump in your way back machine and get into the hive mindset, it's time!

Rules:

  1. Drink whenever you see the Umbrella Corporation logo.
  2. Take a swig for bad special effects.
  3. Sip whenever you spot retconning.
  4. Drink whenever you want to punch the little computer girl in the face.
  5. Sip for every goopy, inside-out dog!
  6. Finish your drink for lasers.
