With the arrival of of the sixth episode, the second season of Ash vs Dead is officially more than halfway over, and season two is shaping up to be even stronger than the first. The story left off with a new baddy in the mix, and as if Baal isn’t enough of a problem, the Necronomicon is trying to make its way back into the world...using Pablo as a vessel.
This season of Ash vs Evil Dead has all of the gore and magic of the first season (and the movies on which the show is based) but has really tightened up the story and character relationships in comparison to the first season. The shift from movie franchise to television series is never simple, and the first ten episodes of Ash definitely showed the strain in a spot or two.
Ruby seems to have gotten the spell she needs from Pablo, which means they can stop the convergence with the book, save Pablo, and send Baal back to hell, but something tells me that none of it is going to be that easy. As the episode comes to a close, Ash has his first face-to-face encounter with Baal, and it looks like our hero is nowhere near out of the woods yet.
