I'm pretty sure now that I've read "The Hunger Games" I'll be getting my "special visitor" any day now but god damn if I'm not excited about the big screen adaptation of the book. I mean look at this new fake nail polish ad with Elizabeth Banks all prettied up. Just look at it. I've never been more ashamed of myself.

Andrzej Bartkowiak directed the movie "Doom", which was based on a video game and was awesome. If you think it was terrible then I think you're terrible. Sorry I have to be so harsh around the holidays. The reason I'm letting you know all this is Bartkowiak has now been tapped to direct a new film titled "Beneath the Deep", a new film about a group of travelers trapped in the Caribbean with some locals who see them as intruders. Sounds like my in-laws! But seriously folks, what's the deal with airplane food?

Sam Raimi is directing "Oz: The Great and Powerful" so it was pretty much a no brainer that Bruce Campbell would pop up in the film somewhere. But then Bruce took to the tweets and said he wasn't going to be able to be in the film. But now, now it looks like he is because in a recent interview he said he shot a small but pivotal scene in the film. More on this developing story as it unfolds.

"The Darkest Hour" comes out on Christmas and I've explained the plot so many times in the news that if you don't know it by now then you don't read this every day and there's a good chance you're not reading it now so I'm not sure why I'm even typing this. Here's a new clip from the film where a reporter gets all blown up and crap. Thank you for your business.

I'm willing to give my friend Rob Zombie as many chances as his crispy disgusting hair wants to toss out. That's just the kind of guy I am. So when he takes to the twitter and says his new film "The Lords of Salem" is looking "demented, perverted satanic", I'm intrigued. For those of you not familiar with the film it's a heartwarming tale about a group of witches who come back from the great beyond to bring death and destruction on modern day Salem. Sounds like they also get some action also. Good for them.

It's about time there was a Roller Derby slasher film isn't it? That is of course if there already hasn't been one and I just haven't seen it. Let's pretend "MurderDrome" is the first of its kind though. The film is about an up and coming roller star who gets caught in a love triangle that eventually evolves into a demon filled blood bath. Demon roller people? That's got to be a new idea. Was there a demon in that Drew Barrymore flick that came out a couple years ago? I never saw it.

For those of you who haven't had a chance to get John Carpenter's "The Ward" you'll be able to get your disgusting little syrup stained hands on the DVD and Blu-Ray on August 16th. And today we've got some cover art, which is the same as the movie poster, and specs, commentary with John Carpenter and star Jared Harris. So there you have it, the same image you've seen 100 times already and some commentary with an actor who's in the movie about 15 minutes. Operators are standing by.

While it's no big surprise it's still nice to see that Bruce Campbell will in fact be in Sam Raimi's upcoming new film "Oz: The Great and Powerful" which tells the story of how everyone's favorite Wizard came to be. That is of course unless you consider those weirdos from "Lord of the Rings" to be your favorite wizards. And if that is the case I'd ask you to kindly stop reading my news.

Christopher Lloyd has signed on to play an occult shop owner in the upcoming 3D Canadian indie horror flick "Dead Before Dawn". April Mullen, who looks like she smells like sunshine, is the director behind the project that currently filming in Niagara Fall, Ontario. Because no one does anyone on the U.S. side of Niagara Falls. It's the one and only thing Canada has on us.

Sue Rock, who according to IMDB I have seen in a few movies before, is the latest name to be added to the ever growing "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D" cast list. She'll play someone I'm guessing gets killed within the first 20 minutes so I'm not really going to bother explaining the role. In short the only reason I'm mentioning this is when I first read about this I thought the headline said "The Rock" was joining the cast. Which got me really excited and I was already typing the post up.

Yesterday the internet was all ablaze with the exciting news that "Evil Dead 4" was slowly rolling into production. And now to stoke the fire in your loins just a little more the mighty Bruce Campbell has commented on the status. According the him that project is very much real, very much scary and very much a remake. Oh boy... remake. I want to believe every word Bruce Campbell says so I'm keeping the faith here. Please don't hurt me, Bruce. I'm not sure my tender heart could take that.

I'm not 100% convinced that Bill Moseley didn't fight in the civil war and for that reason I am not convinced that the new horror flick "Exit Humanity" isn't a documentary. Of course I don't believe I remember anything about zombies being a large problem in the post civil war era but to be honestl I wasn't very good in social studies. In any case there's a new trailer for the flick so you can make your own conclusions.

Get excited iApple iNerds! Ghost House has joined forces with Trigger Apps to develop a handy dandy "Evil Dead" shooter game for the iPhone and iPad. They follow the path of the first film and then branch off into a whole new storyline. It'll also come with Bryce Campbell's home phone number. Alright that might be a lie.

The advertising hot dogs behind the upcoming film "Priest" have jumped in to launch an online game for the film. The game can be played in both 2D and 3D, if you can find some glasses, and for those of you that are hammed right now it can even be played in 6D. Because you see double sometimes when you're drunk. Get it? It was either that or a "play with yourself" joke so consider yourselves lucky.

I'm a firm believer that if dogs have the opportunity they will turn on us and make us their slaves. For that reason it's pretty obvious that all dogs should be put in cages and treated like deadly criminals. Apparently though the makers of the new short film "Play Dead", which has a trailer and poster out on the tubes, think when the zombies take over "man's best friend" will be our only allies. Adorable idea, but completely inaccurate.

William Fichtner, who I'm 99% sure is a robot, is all ready to join the cast of Neill Blomkamp's new sci-fi flick "Elysium". The movie also stars Jodie Foster and Matt Damon or as I like to call them Fostermon. I don't think they're dating or anything but it's fun to make up names for people isn't it?

Bruce Campbell sat and dished a bit on "Bruce Vs. Frankenstein" in a recent interview. The planned sequel to "My Name is Bruce", the actor plans on filming during his next "Burn Notice" break and hopes to pack as many horror icons into the film as he can.

"Ghost Rider" fans, if there are any, can now prepare themselves for seeing Nic Cage's hair in glorious 3-D! Cage talked about the sequel in a recent interview were her hinted towards a 3-D installment as well as the involvement of Dracula. Yes, that Dracula.

Did you shed a little tear like I did when we saw the demise of Franklin on this season of "True Blood"? Cry no more fans, James Frain who portrays Franklin has signed on to the After Dark Original thriller "Transit" working along side the likes of Jim Caviezel and Diora Baird.

In case you forgot about the internet all together yesterday, AMC has finally released the official Comic Con trailer for "The Walking Dead". To weigh in on the subject is our crack Bloody Good Horror reporter, Me! "This show is going to be amazing!" Casey Criswell said during a recent BGH News Update. In addition to the stellar trailer, AMC has also let us know that "The Walking Dead" will debut this Halloween.

John Lithgow will be monkeying around soon as he joins the cast of "Rise of the Apes", Fox's prequel to their "Planet of the Apes" franchise starring James Franco.

Moonstone Entertainment has finally released plot details for their planned reboot "The Howling Reborn". The real question remains; will Moonstone ever get this movie off the ground?

Yesterday was Bruce Campbell's birthday. You should celebrate by printing out these 4 custom Bruce Campbell soup labels and confusing your mom!
