Insidious 2

★ ★ ★

It looks like Barbara Hershey will in fact return to the house that Darth Maul built in "Insidious 2". Currently eyeing an August 30, 2013 release date as of yet we have no details on what the story for the second chapter will be. If I were to guess though I'd say Yoda fights Christopher Lee and a lot of nerds get really pissed.

John McNaughton, the guy who wrote and directed "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer" is returning to the directors chair with a new flick staring Michael Shannon titled "The Harvest". The movie tells the story of a couple who's son is confined to their home due to a rare illness and the neighbor who causes a rift in their lives when she gives him hope of a better life. McNaughton also directed "Wild Things". So you know. Girl on girl pool make out scene.

ABC has decided to put their new paranormal investigation series "Weird Desk" on hold due to production costs and concerns that it might be a little too close to Joss Whedon’s new show "S.H.E.I.L.D." for comfort. This is upsetting, not because I gave a crap about the show, but because I have been planning my own show "Buddies", about 5 friends who hang out at a coffee shop all day and eventually fall for each other, for years now.

For those of you hoping that we may someday get some insight into what caused the zombie outbreak in "The Walking Dead" I've got some bad news for you. The shows creator, Robert Kirkman, has dropped word that he has no interest in exploring the cause and is rather proud that the show has never gone that direction. He also said you're a loser for wanting to know so bad and that you have awful teeth. Alright I added that last part. I'm sorry.

What if I told you there's a 12 year old battling vampires on a plane movie titled "Night Wings" that just got picked up by the good people at Ember Entertainment? Would you be excited? What if I also told you that the movie was going to be in 3D? You just vomited out your eyes didn't you. Sorry about that.

If you're going to watch one new horror TV show about a serial killer that forms a cult of followers that doesn't have a title and has just added Shawn Ashmore and Valorie Curry then... I don't know how to end that sentence. But the show is going to be on Fox and is being written by Kevin Williamson. I'm so very tired.

Are you excited for "Insidious 2"? Really? I thought the first one was kind of funny. What's wrong with you? Anyway, there's now confirmation that Specs and Tucker, the paranormal duo from the first film will be returning for the second installment. Are you excited about this news, too? I don't even know you anymore.

Jacob Hopkins has been cast as a young vampire in next season of "True Blood". He's 11 or something close to that. This news is creepy.

The internet, is there anything it can't do? Why just yesterday some nerd sitting in his parent's basement discovered that Sony registered the domain Insidious2movie.com, leading you to believe "Insidious 2" is very much in the works. This is all very interesting but don't you nerds know there's buckets of pron on the internet? What the hell are you doing checking on horror movie domains?

A new "Twilight Zone" movie has been kicking around for a while now and as the hot balls of Hollywood keep rolling a writer for the script has come into the light. Anthony Peckham, who brought you "Sherlock Holmes" has been picked to write the story for the film which added Matt Reeves as it's director a few weeks back. I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about anymore.

Jesse Eisenberg, the guy who invented Facebook but not really, is all kinds of pissed at Lionsgate Entertainment for putting his sexy mug all over the promotional items for their flick "Camp Hell", a B-Horror flick that Eisenberg had a small cameo in. So pissed in fact that he's filed a for $3 million lawsuit saying the company is trying to profit from his now super famous name. If he can get $3 million it leads me to believe that I could at least get a couple hundred from that furniture store in Schenectady that used my photo to promote their end tables. I'm on a podcast, bitches!
