Gaming

It's obvious I love horror movies.  I've been running off at the mouth about them all month!  There's another side of me though, a side that loves video games.  Video games are my escapism, my decompression tool, my destressor and more.

It's no lie; I freaking love video games.  I've played them since Atari 2600 was new in stores!  They're my favorite mode of escapism and de-stressing tool. Not too long ago, while sitting and watching somebody game videos on youtube, I had an epiphany.

Here's the latest trailer for "Paranormal Activity 4" which gets released October 19th in the US. We get a lot more scares, more plot and some infuriating product placement for the Kinect on XBOX 360.

I still say wake me up when they make an RE game that plays like something made in the 21st century, but this story trailer for "Resident Evil 6" is pretty damn cool. If any of you guys end up playing it and it's good, let me know...

This game just keeps getting weirder and weirder, but I suppose I should expect nothing less from James Gunn. Here's a little Valentine's themed trailer they put together to promote its release, which is still slated only for sometime in "2012". My biggest question right now?

If you're a regular listener of podcast, you know that I'm a more-than-frequent player of Magic: The Gathering. I've been hoping to write about the game on the site, but I've had trouble finding the right hook to tie it in, since we are a horror site after all.

Depending on your particular leaning as a genre fan, you'll likely find this to be either amazing or completely sacreligious, but the developers of "Super Scribblenauts" have decided to show off their latest innovative mechanic using Cthulhu, H.P. Lovecraft's signature monstrosity.

I've fallen out of the loop on the whole "Alien Vs. Predator" movie craze but apparently they haven't been very good. The video game coming out on March 31st though looks good, very good even.

Concept art of a "Necromorph" from EA's upcoming "Dead Space 2" for the XBOX 360 and PS3. The survival horror sequel is currently set for a March 31st, 2010 release date.

The only thing scarier than the havoc you can wreak as a Big Daddy is the challenge you'll face from the Big Sister. These two videos exemplify the carnage we're in for with "Bioshock 2".
