Possession movie

Possession is a hard movie to describe. So much about this movie is purposely ambiguous that I really can’t begin to recount a coherent plot. However, that is perfectly fine, because this movie is more about the experience of the character’s collective descent into complete insanity, than it is about telling a cohesive story.

What if HP. Lovecraft and John Carpenter made a film together? Well, that'd be kind of weird because HP Lovecraft died before John Carpenter was even born so there'd some pretty spooky shit going on for that to happen, but forget all that. "In the Mouth of Madness" is essentially that film.

In this snapshot from The Spierig Bro's "Daybreakers" (2010), vampire hunter Willem Dafoe sets his sights on a bloodsucker played by Ethan Hawke. In the future, as the human race is about to go extinct, the world's most influential vampires seek a blood substitute to keep their kind alive. Meanwhile, the last remnants of the human race are about to start fighting back. For more from the Spierig brothers, check out their strange take on the vampire mythos, "Undead" (2003). "Daybreakers" will hit US theaters on January 8th, 2010.

Based on a beloved kiwi fantasy novel, "Under the Mountain" is the latest film from "Black Sheep" director Johnathan King. Taking place in Auckland, New Zealand, twin teenagers Rachel and Theo Matheson discover that their neighbors are not who they appear to be and uncover an ancient secret that lurks beneath the volcanoes of Auckland. Together with Mr. Jones, played by the ever awesome Sam Neill and their cousin, the twins must discover their super secret Harry Potter powers to save all of eternity. Exciting, yes?
