Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

"Snow Piercer", a new film about a group of people trapped on a train after the world freezes over, has gotten itself a pretty dandy cast so far. Tilda Swinton, John hurt and Chris Evans to name a few. And now Ewen Bremner, the guy who played Spud in "Trainspotting", has joined the cast. Why that's the second most famous Ewen in that movie! Gold baby, this picture's going to be gold!

Let me be Joe with you for a second. I love me some Halloween and I love me some comedy. So I'm pretty excited for the new horror/comedy "Fun Size" about a teenager who loses her little brother on Halloween. It's got everything I love! But now the film has been pushed back two weeks to an October 26th theater release. Which I guess makes perfect sense since that's Halloween weekend. Ignore my disappointment. I'm so stupid sometimes.

If you had the same kind of Oscar fever as I did then you enjoyed watching "The Walking Dead" this past Sunday night. Get it? Cause "The Walking Dead" was on at the same time as the Oscars so I'm saying I didn't even watch them. God I hate you. Colin Vaines produced "My Week with Marilyn" and I'm 75% sure that was nominated for something so let's get excited about him developing a "classic ghost story" with writer David Pirie. No details on the plot or title, but it's the Oscars, baby, Gold! It's all going to be gold.

"Mirror Mirror" is apparently a retelling of Snow White that stars Julia Roberts as the evil witch. Mother of god I hate Julia Roberts. She's the female Billy Crystal. Jason Keller is one of the writers on the project and he just sold a new Dracula story to Sony. Please try not to get this mixed up with the 19 other Dracula movies in the works and the 14 TV shows based on the classic blood sucker being developed. Feel free to confuse it with my fan fiction though. My site Draculainjersey.org could use the hits.

I wish I could stop talking about Daniel Radcliffe. I'd give anything really. But here's a new clip from "The Woman In Black", which stars the little bugger as a lawyer sent to a remote village to sort out the paperwork of a recently deceased client. In the clip he's all napping and looking so god damn cute I could just squeeze him. Oh here I go again! What did the doctor tell me? Oh yeah. I should want to invite Daniel Radcliffe over for dinner. I shouldn't want to cut into him, and wear his skin as a Key to other worlds and dimensions.

Ah crap. NBC has put in a order for a new series based on everyone's favorite blood sucker, Dracula. The show, which is cleverly titled "Dracula" is being described as "Dangerous Liaisons meets The Tudors" or in "Joe Terms" a movie I never saw crossed with a TV show that made me feel like I had just eaten a box of Fig Newtons and washed it down with a Fresca. Think about that for a few minutes.

Speaking of things that make me feel like less of a man here's a new look at Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket from the upcoming big screen adaptation of "The Hunger Games". I don't know why it makes me feel like less of a man but when I look at the picture I feel like I should say things like "No white pants after Labor Day" and "Oh I can't wait for Fashion Week".

Richard Norton, and Australian actor you've probably never heard of but is frightening as hell, has signed on to play a number roles in the upcoming Mad Max film titled "Fury Road". Most notably he'll take on the Toecutter role, aka the main bad guy in the movie and this seems fitting because he looks like he eats puppies for fun.

They're still putting Michael Cera in movies? Super! Anywho! "Magic, Magic" has nothing to do with the card game virgins play (sorry Mark) and everything to do with a girl who starts to lose her mental faculties on a remote Chili island and not only stars Cera but Emily Browning, Juno Temple and Catalina Sandino Moreno. Three women who I assume are very nice but have names that sound like they would have ignored me in High School so in turn hate this movie and everyone in it.

Thomas Kretschmann, who's been in a bunch of movies I've never seen, has signed on to play the lead in the upcoming Dario Argento version of "Dracula". Of course seeing that this is an Argento flick god knows what the "lead role" means. I'd normally guess Dracula but for Argento the lead character could be a mule that has orgies with supermodels on the beach. Which, now that I see it typed out actually sounds like an awesome movie. Oh and it's going to be in 3D!

Looks like the apocalypse has come a few days early because "Monsters 2" has been announced. The sequel will follow 2 brothers as they find each other in a world filled with crappy CGI monsters that like to dry hump in front of gas stations (if you saw the first one you're wetting yourself right now). At the very least this will give me a reason to use the world "mumblecore" again.

Bruce Campbell sat and dished a bit on "Bruce Vs. Frankenstein" in a recent interview. The planned sequel to "My Name is Bruce", the actor plans on filming during his next "Burn Notice" break and hopes to pack as many horror icons into the film as he can.

"Ghost Rider" fans, if there are any, can now prepare themselves for seeing Nic Cage's hair in glorious 3-D! Cage talked about the sequel in a recent interview were her hinted towards a 3-D installment as well as the involvement of Dracula. Yes, that Dracula.

Did you shed a little tear like I did when we saw the demise of Franklin on this season of "True Blood"? Cry no more fans, James Frain who portrays Franklin has signed on to the After Dark Original thriller "Transit" working along side the likes of Jim Caviezel and Diora Baird.

In case you forgot about the internet all together yesterday, AMC has finally released the official Comic Con trailer for "The Walking Dead". To weigh in on the subject is our crack Bloody Good Horror reporter, Me! "This show is going to be amazing!" Casey Criswell said during a recent BGH News Update. In addition to the stellar trailer, AMC has also let us know that "The Walking Dead" will debut this Halloween.

Do you need some more Patrick Batman in your life? Well then, you're in luck. It appears that "American Psycho" is becoming a musical. Let's hope there's ample time for Bateman's snappy impression of "Huey Lewis and the News".

There's more teen oriented horror coming to The CW, this time in a new show entitled Betwixt. They've done monster hunters and other various supernatural things, this time we're facing changeling's charged with saving humanity! I feel safer already.

On February 16th, you'll be able to take your horror with you on the crapper. South Peak games will be releasing "Dementium II", a survival horror FPS for the Nintendo DS. At least in this format when it scares the shit out of you, you'll already be in position.

Vampires are the hot commodity right now and as such, we may soon be seeing the return of Dracula himself. Producers are readying "The Last Voyage of the Demeter", a prequel story centered on the count and his voyage over seas to England.
