Horror Headlines: Wednesday December 3rd, 2008

Leave it to Paramount to fuck up yet again. Here they are finally making up for the lackluster "Friday the 13th" box set they released a few years ago - granted only to make money off of the remake - but the announcements of Part 1 being uncut and Part 3 being in 3D had me excited. Well, don't get too worked up yet, because they still insisted on making their own shitty covers to replace the amazing old poster art. On top of that, it's revealed that Part 3 will have NO SPECIAL FEATURES... unless of course you count a trailer, but since it's not 1998 I don't. Looks like I'll be making a tough decision when this gets released early next year.

Pictures of Tiffany Shepis from her new film "New Terminal Hotel". Other genre vets starring in this pic include Ezzra Buzzington, Stephen Geoffreys and Corey Haim.

"Punisher: War Zone" director Lexi Alexander is up for the directing gig of the "Jonah Hex" adaptation. Her reason for interest centers mainly on Josh Brolin, who is still waiting for a director to be picked before he will officially sign on. I would be excited for this, except I've seen the trailer for "War Zone" and can't shake the feeling it's going to suck. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Maybe you can make sense of the promo reel for "Paris By Night of the Living Dead", which is essentially a French Zombie/Action/Martial arts film.

In Real People News:

Next time you go hunting, make sure you killed that Deer before you approach it... because it may just come back to life for a short time and try to kill your ass. It's like the ending of every slasher ever, only with antlers.

If you have horses make sure you lock them up... because this dude wants to have sex with them. That is all.

Film producer makes "Gay" version of the bible to make some sort of statement. This should be interesting.

This story is pretty amazing. NHL player uses press to make bold statement about his "sloppy seconds". That guy is officially cooler than everyone.

On this day in history:

1984: Methyl isocyanate leaks from a Union Carbide pesticide plant located at a slum in Bhopal, India. The gas kills 4,000 people and injures 200,000 others, many of whom were permanently blinded or disabled.
